Our creations are born from the wildness of Svalbard — a tribute to the land that inspires us every day. Each piece carries a story of Nature, Love, and Life in the far North.Every creation is a quiet echo of the land we call home.
We are Donido.art — Do stands for Domi, and Ni for Niko. We’re a married couple behind the whole project. The second Do in our name comes from Japanese and means “the way.”So Donido means Domi’s and Niko’s way — our way.We are people who truly love Nature, from the bottom of our hearts.For more than 10 years, we’ve been connected to Svalbard. Over this time, we’ve experienced the archipelago from the very south to the far north — we even got married at 80° N! We’ve worked in many different roles here — from science to tourism. One of us was a meteorologist at the Polish Polar Station in Hornsund, and we’ve also worked as guides, cooks, and even taxi drivers when needed!

Every material we use has a story. Reindeer antlers shed naturally on Arctic tundra. Coal that’s 50 million years old. Spent cartridges from bear protection practice. Driftwood, resin, soy wax. Nothing is wasted – everything becomes something worth keeping.
We make things with our hands, in a small workshop at the edge of the world. Every piece leaves Svalbard and finds its way to someone, somewhere. We’ll never know most of those stories – but sometimes people share them with us. These are a few of our favourites.
